954 Victoria Road Whitney Pier, NS This month, what with the success of our last adventure, we decided to again visit a community event for dinner. As part of the Whitney Pier annual celebration, Pierscape, the Italian Society offers an Italian buffet; this was their 18th year and because the buffet is always so good, tickets sell out very quickly. We got our tickets three weeks in advance - nine of us planned to attend the dinner and then go up the hill to the high school to view the Pierscape art show and sale. What a dinner! The Italian buffet was set up on a long table that ran the full length of the hall and we all sat at tables on either side. The bar was open and tickets were sold on a painting that some lucky person was going to win that evening. And the buffet? Well, we started at one end and promised ourselves we would only take a little bit from each platter. But by the time we each got to the end of the buffet, our plates were piled high!
